Squacquerone di Romagna DOP

The Squacquerone di Romagna Dop is a cheese of ancient origin (1800), closely linked to local rural tradition. It is soft, white, pearly, free of rind or peel. The production area includes the provinces of: Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena, Rimini, Bologna and part of the territory of the province of Ferrara. The key feature that has significantly contributed to making famous this cheese is its softness, due to lack of nerve.
Its aroma is delicate, with sweet flavour.
It has to be stored from 0 to 4 degrees. Shelf Life 11 days.

2014 – National Competition AlmaCaseus, Cibus, Parma; ranked third under the fresh cheeses category, first squacquerone di Romagna Dop in Italy.

2016 – National Competition AlmaCaseus, Cibus, Parma; ranked first under the fresh cheese of cow-buffalo milk category, Gold Medal.
